About 27 miles long, Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake after the Great Lakes. It’s a mecca for hot Montanans in the summer.
My DH and I often drive up the west side of the lake on our way to Glacier National Park. The views are beautiful, and in July the secret is revealed–Flathead cherries. The west bank of the lake is covered with orchards, many going back several generations.
That’s the theme of the latest Montana romance I’ve read—Montana Cherries. It’s an engaging story with a serious theme. The author handles the topic well and provides a satisfying ending for hero and heroine.
